Neighbors,

I must say that I was very happy at the turn out that we had for this event yesterday.  This is the first year that Avalon Park participated in National Night out, and our neighborhood went all out this year.   The way the event materialized yesterday exceeded our expectations, and we have definitely set the bar high for next year's event.

To see neighbors come out and socialize with one another while discussing local safety concerns and signing up for the Neighborhood Watch program was awesome.   We are really building a lifestyle in this section of Orlando that is safe, family oriented, and a quite frankly a breath of Fresh air!

Officer Negron, our local Safety Officer, stopped by and commented to me that he was really impressed by the turn out and how well the event was coordinated.  We had over 70 neighbors stop by and about 20 new neighbors signing up for Avalon Neighborhood watch.  

On a side note, this event would not have been so successful without the time and effort of dedicated individuals such as:  

Brenda Kolbrich-   Thank you for providing the platform, direction, and ideas!!!!!!!!

Captain Miguel Pagan-  Thank you for providing the Tents, expertise, time in coordinating, ideas, help in setting up, and table! 

Zuly and Brian Bovbjerg-  Thank you for providing time in coordinating, the flyers, ideas, help in setting up, and providing your self during the event!!!!

Dave Kyte-  Thank you for providing help setting up, the drinks, and the 4th table which was very handy for neighbors looking to congregate and sit!  

Vanessa Solon-  Thank you for contacting KB homes and coordinating the hotdog stand, ideas, and your time to this effort!   Also, thank you for being really hot and my wife!!!!!!

Michelle and Javier Jordan-  Thank you for providing the deserts, ideas, and time to this effort!!!!!!!

KB HOMES-  We would like to say thank you from Red Mangrove Drive in participating in our first National Night Out Event by contributing a griller (whom I must say was extremely courteous), prizes, and food to the event!!!!!!!  You guys are awesome…. Seriously, I mean it….Awesome!!!!!

Red Mangrove Drive and community-  Thank you for participating, coming out, and meeting your neighbors.   Without you guys participating, our first event would not have been so successful!!!!!!  
Expect Next Year to even be bigger….  WE WILL BE SEEKING TO SHUT DOWN THE WHOLE BLOCK!
